Store Cards

Store cards are available from retailers throughout New Zealand. Store cards, loyalty cards or reward cards are all common and some store cards can be used nationwide. Typical benefits of using a store card may include privileges and rewards such as interest-free credit, competitions, prize-draws, special offers, discounts on purchases, invitations to promotional and preview events, extra money off in the sales, and glossy member magazines.

Although they may offer some tempting perks, they can be expensive methods of borrowing if the balance isn’t paid at the end of the month.  You should weigh up all the pros and cons carefully before you make any decisions.
