Tracing UK Pensions

If you are setting home in New Zealand from the UK, you will probably want to transfer your pension funds with you. As people typically accumulate a number of pensions with a number of different providers as they change jobs in the UK, you will need to makes sure you have access and details for all of your funds. 

If you think you may have pension funds in the UK but no longer have the details, the UK Government Pension Service runs a pension tracing service. 

They will track down occupational and personal pensions for you. It is a free service, and you can do it all online, at http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/atoz/atozdetailed/pensiontracing.asp

If you have migrated from the UK to New Zealand, or you worked there on your Overseas Experience, it may be well worth your while checking this out.
